Experienced underwriting leadership
Conor Geraghty
Chief Executive Officer
Conor Geraghty is the Chief Executive Officer of Orvia, responsible for shaping the business vision, strategy and driving growth across the London and European markets. Conor joined the business with a clear ambition — to build a specialist MGA business defined by expertise, partnership, and connection.
With a background spanning 20 years across retail, wholesale broking and delegated authorities, Conor brings a commercial and forward-looking approach to leadership. The Orvia focus is on creating a platform that enables talented underwriters and insurance professionals to do their best work while delivering meaningful value to brokers, clients and our capacity partners.
Having joined Ardonagh in 2022, Conor has worked in a wide variety of leadership roles, having most recently held C-suite positions at Bishopsgate and Price Forbes, Ardonagh’s London Market broking businesses where he scaled these businesses through M&A, hiring and organic growth build out initiatives.
Today, Conor remains closely involved in the evolution of the business — ensuring strategy, culture and execution remain aligned.
Werner Richter
Managing Director, Germany
Werner Richter is the Managing Director for Germany at Orvia Underwriting, a leading pan-European MGA connecting brokers and insurance capacity through underwriting expertise and service excellence. He oversees the company’s German operations and growth across Germany and Europe, with responsibility for a diverse portfolio spanning trade credit and surety, cyber and intellectual property, fidelity and crime, and marine cargo.
Werner joined Orvia Underwriting following the transition and rebrand of CooperGay SAS’s German operations in January 2026, having served as Country Manager for the business for six years. His leadership has been central to strengthening the organisation’s footprint in specialist risk lines and expanding broker and client partnerships across the region.
Before joining CooperGay SAS, Werner held various positions within Munich Re and the Allianz Group.
Paul Nolan
Chief Underwriting Officer
Paul Nolan is the Chief Underwriting Officer of Orvia, responsible for underwriting strategy, portfolio performance, governance, and carrier relationships, bringing a strong carrier-side perspective to the MGA’s underwriting and risk management framework.
Paul began his career in 2003 as a PI underwriter at AIG, underwriting SME to large multinational clients across a broad range of professions and territories. He moved to AGCS in 2009, where he helped establish a new Financial Lines proposition, and in 2016 he joined Probitas 1492 syndicate, where he held several senior leadership positions.
Across his career, Paul has developed a strong track record in building high-performing underwriting teams, managing delegated authority arrangements from the carrier perspective, and delivering consistently profitable portfolios.
